Ohio State rolled to a huge win over No. 9 Robert Morris on Friday. Freshman Tatum Skaggs posted her first collegiate hat trick. The Buckeyes claimed a 7-3 victory in a chippy, penalty filled affair.

The outcome of this one was never really in doubt. The Bucks led 4-0 after the first period. Liz Schepers kicked off the scoring with her second career goal. Grace Zarzecki cashed in on the team’s first power play. Dani Sadek stretched OSU’s lead to 3-0. Skaggs converted the Buckeyes’ second power play of the game with just seconds to go in the opening frame.

The Colonials got on the board in the middle period, but any hope they had of rallying was quickly quashed by Skaggs’ second tally of the game. She struck for a third time early in the third period, completing her first hat trick as a Buckeye. Charly Dahlquist capped the scoring with a late power play goal.
RMU edged Ohio State in shots on goal, 33-30. The Buckeyes were 4-for-10 on the power play. Robert Morris was 0-for-7.
