The Ohio State women's basketball team adds even more firepower to its nonconference schedule as the Buckeyes will travel to Durham, North Carolina to face Duke in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Nov. 30.
The matchup will likely be a contest between two ranked teams as both squads finished ranked in the top-15 season with the Buckeyes finishing No. 10 and the Blue Devils No. 15.
It will be the second matchup ever between the two teams as they only met once previously, also in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, when No. 3 Ohio State travelled to face No. 11 Duke in Durham. The Blue Devils bested the Buckeyes, winning 83-67.
The game will pit two current Buckeyes against their former team as Sierra Calhoun transferred from Duke following the 2014-15 season, and Kianna Holland, who can no longer participate athletically due to injuries but remains with the team, transferred from Duke midway through the 2014 season.
The Duke matchup adds yet another high-level opponent to Ohio State's non-conference scheduled as the Buckeyes are already slated to take on UConn for the third-straight season in Nationwide Arena on Nov. 12 as part of the Countdown to Columbus days after they open their season against Stanford in St. John Arena on Nov. 10. Both Stanford and Connecticut reached the Final Four in 2017.
