It was a slow start after eight days without a game, but ultimately No. 13 Ohio State still took care of Dartmouth convincingly, downing the Big Green 103-70.

The 103 points ties season high, even for this high-powered Buckeye offense. Entering the game, Ohio State ranked No. 3 in the nation in scoring offense, averaging 90.7 points per game and topping the century mark three times on the season.

That scoring came from everywhere on Friday evening and it was efficient. Nine different Buckeyes scored and four players reached double figures, led by Kelsey Mitchell's 22 points. The team shot 52 percent from the field, 44 percent from three-point range and averaged 1.355 points per possession, scoring on over 60 percent of its possessions.

Much of that scoring came as a result of pesky defense. The Buckeyes finished with 11 steals and forced 24 Dartmouth turnovers while only turning it over nine times themselves. Ohio State scored 38 points off Big Green turnovers to Dartmouth's four.

Not only was it pesky defense, it was clean defense. Perhaps the most jarring stat of the game was that Dartmouth did not attempt a single free throw during the game. Ohio State committed just two personal fouls in the entire 40-minute contest.

It's difficult to fathom based on the lopsided final score, but Dartmouth actually kept this game close for much of the game, especially early on. Though they never took a commanding lead, as the Ohio State deficit only reach six points, the Big Green were on top or tied with the Buckeyes for 11:17 in the first half.

Eventually though, the Buckeyes took over. Dartmouth's last lead came with just over 6 minutes to play in the first half as the Big Green led 27-26. From that point, Ohio State closed the first half on a 17-4 run and outscored Dartmouth 75-43 the rest of the game, including a 33-0 run spanning the third and fourth quarters.

Ohio State nearly matched its first-half offensive performance in the third quarter alone, putting up 35 points in the quarter. Stephanie Mavunga, who had just two points in the first half, put up 12 in the third while Sierra Calhoun and Kelsey Mitchell continued to pour it on.

The Buckeyes continued to pour it on in the fourth, scoring the quarter's first 10 points to extend their second-half run to 33 unanswered points. Ohio State continued to score, surpassing 100 points for the fourth time this season.

With the win, Ohio State improves to 10-2 on the season. The Buckeyes head to Cincinnati to take on the Bearcats on Sunday at 4 p.m. in their last nonconference game of the season.
