Ohio State women's basketball is losing its top player.
Dorka Juhász, who has earned first-team All-Big Ten honors for each of the past two seasons, announced Saturday that she is entering the transfer portal and will finish her collegiate career elsewhere.

A 6-foot-4 forward from Hungary, Juhász was an immediate impact player at Ohio State, leading the Buckeyes with 11.7 points and nine rebounds per game as a freshman in 2018-19, earning second-team All-Big Ten honors. She again led the team in both categories with 13.2 points and 9.4 rebounds per game in 2019-20 to earn first-team all-conference recognition. As a junior this past season, Juhász averaged more than a double-double with 14.6 points and 11.1 rebounds per game; she ranked second in the entire Big Ten in rebounding.
With the NCAA granting all athletes an extra year, Juhász still has two more seasons of collegiate eligibility. She will be a graduate transfer, as she's set to earn her degree from Ohio State a year early.
Ohio State is still expected to return the rest of its top players from last season, including four other double-digit scorers in Jacy Sheldon, Madison Greene, Braxtin Miller and Aaliyah Patty, but Juhász's departure will leave the Buckeyes with big shoes to fill in the frontcourt.
And she's not the first high-profile player to transfer from Ohio State in recent seasons. Last offseason, the Buckeyes lost five-star recruit Kierstan Bell after just one season; she proceeded to become the Atlantic Sun Player of the Year in her first season at Florida Gulf Coast.
