It is the final weekday before we get to watch the Buckeyes play the Buckeyes in the most anticipated matchup of the spring.
It's such an important occasion that they're letting me off of my couch and into the press box. I know, I know – I'm just as shocked as you are. I promise to make great use of the breakfast bar.
Also, tomorrow is a game day as far as I'm concerned. Thus, there will be a gameday Skull Session.

DEEP THREAT. Turns out, Chris Olave has been pretty clearly the best downfield threat in the country throughout his time at Ohio State. Y'all probably don't need any numbers to tell you that, but I'm going to give them to you anyway.

Some of those numbers are due to the J.T. Barrett effect of simply hanging around Ohio State a very long time, but on the other hand, if start at receiver for Ohio State for three years, you're clearly doing something right, so it's hard to knock him.
THE MORE YOU KNOW. Few things fascinate me like the extremely cool buildings that used to stand on campus but have since been razed.
Today, I learned a new one.
Did you know there was a greenhouse on the Oval? Botanical Hall, dedicated to the departments of Horticulture and Botany, was built in 1883 and formerly stood on the site of the Faculty Club. I'm not sure anything is ever going to top the coolness of The Armory, which was basically just a miniature castle on campus, but Botanical Hall is pretty sweet, too.
RUGGLES WILL BE BACK. There's an extremely solid chance that you had no idea Noah Ruggles wasn't currently with the Buckeyes (or enrolled in classes at Ohio State, for that matter), but regardless, you'll be pleased to know that he will be back this summer.

Apparently, Ruggles took the spring semester off, which is not a situation I'm necessarily used to, but as long as Ryan Day's cool with it, I also am cool with it.
MALIK BARROW, STILL PLAYING FOOTBALL. I freely admit that sometimes, when a player leaves Ohio State, I simply lose track of their existence on this floating rock we call home.
For example, I learned yesterday that former Ohio State defensive lineman Malik Barrow is *still* playing college football for what appears to be his fourth fifth different team. This is particularly perplexing given that he medically retired from football back in 2018.

That seems like an absurdly high number, but I'll show my work to prove I'm not lying!
Barrow signed with Ohio State (1) out of high school back in 2016. He then retired from football back in 2018, but it switched and he actually transferred to UCF (2) in 2019 and continued playing football. Following one season at UCF, he transferred to Rutgers (3) in 2020. I have no idea how long he stayed at Rutgers, but eventually, he ended up at Alabama A&M (4). And now he apparently plays for Davenport (5).
That seems excessive, but I respect the hustle.
