In Crestview, high school basketball is the Etzler family business.
Doug Etzler, a former Ohio State guard, is taking over as the newest head coach of Crestview High School in a gym named after his father, Ray.

Etzler will coach one of his nephews, Kalen, a rising junior. Kalen, the No. 51 overall prospect and the second-rated Ohioan in 2021, is an Ohio State target. He does not yet hold an offer since the Buckeyes have offered just four players in his class.
Crestview won the state championship at the Schottenstein Center in March.
