Alonzo Gaffney will evidently explore his options elsewhere at the collegiate level.
It was originally reported that the former Ohio State forward would take a shot at going pro, but Evan Daniels of 247Sports reported that Gaffney entered the transfer portal on Thursday evening. If he opts to transfer rather than go pro, he'd have to sit out next season with three years of eligibility remaining.
Ohio State forward Alonzo Gaffney's plan has been to try his hand at the professional route. It should be noted that Gaffney just entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, per a source.

As a freshman at Ohio State, Gaffney averaged 1.8 points and 1.4 rebounds in 6.8 minutes per game. He played in 17 games and was away from the team for the final four games of the season.
Out of high school, the Cleveland native was the No. 50 overall prospect in the 2019 recruiting cycle.
