Remember when Gene was almost ready to "settle" for Gregg Marshall? Eventually, he decided to relentlessly chase down Chris Holtmann with an offer he could not refuse. Gene looks even better today as it looks like Marshall is being run out of Wichita State.

If Wichita State parts ways with Gregg Marshall soon as expected, Thad Matta will be at the top of the replacement list. I am hearing the school would like him to start right away and coach this season if they can pull it off.
