Lots of posts about OSU's rise in hoops this year - a season that started out solid but has morphed into a white-hot team that is on a roll. The Buckeyes now rate as a #1 seed per early NCAA seeding and deservedly so.
In somewhat similar fashion, Michigan was expected to be a decent team this year but this far into the season they, too, have been excellent for the most part. As for B10 standings, Michigan is only a 1/2 game ahead, though for now they have a larger lead as it relates to winning percentage and supposedly that is how the B10 will decide their final rankings.
OSU has experience at guard, mobility, and is benefitting from a COY effort. Michigan is a larger team in the middle and runs some nifty sets on offense and can play suffocating defense. I don't know what the odds-makers will say about the game but my guess is that it will be a very tight betting line. For the average college basketball fan it should be very good game to watch, but for the U of M or OSU faithful, it might be the most important and hotly contested regular season game in a decade.
What are your predictions:
1. Predictions on Sunday's game - who wins and by how much? What players make the most difference for each team?
2. Predictions on how the B10 final rankings sift out - Don't sleep on the Illini.
