An exclusive, private club will arrive inside Ohio Stadium as soon as 2026.

On Tuesday, Ohio State announced its creation of the 1922 Club, “a speakeasy-style venue” to be constructed inside the east side of Ohio Stadium. The "exclusive, private club and dining venue" will feature dedicated space to watch the Buckeyes on gamedays and a restaurant (open Tuesday through Saturday, excluding gamedays), all while transporting “guests to a bygone era that pays homage to our illustrious history.”

Ohio State plans to open the venue in 2026. Upon completion, the athletic department hopes the club provides “a gameday experience defined by its spacious lounge-like atmosphere for the only most exclusive members.”

The club's full membership, which features limited spots, will cost $4,500 and include:

  • All-inclusive food, beer and wine
  • Cash bar for spirits
  • 1922 Club access three hours prior to kickoff and for one hour after the game
  • Private restrooms
  • A dedicated, premier entrance
  • Opportunities to host private events at a discount on non-gamedays
  • Presale ticket access for events at Ohio Stadium
  • Access to exclusive, members-only special events
  • Options to make reservations at the 1922 Club Restaurant on non-game days
  • A dedicated sales and service account executive

Social memberships will also be available for non-gamedays. That membership level will cost $1,000 and include:

  • Opportunities to make reservations at the 1922 Club Restaurant Tuesday through Saturday, excluding gamedays
  • Opportunities to host private events at a discount on non-gamedays
  • Presale ticket access for events at Ohio Stadium
  • Members-only special events throughout the year
  • Limited edition merchandise
  • A dedicated sales and service account executive

In an interview on 97.1 The Fan's Bishop and Friends last week, Ohio State athletic director Ross Bjork discussed, in part, the school's future plans for the Shoe. He mentioned the 1922 Club as one of several upgrades Ohio State plans to make to the 101-year-old stadium.

"We'll do a strategic assessment going into this season and going into the offseason," Bjork said. "Frankly, we need more premium spaces. People want experiential seating. They want clubs. They want things where they can be part of the game still. I think we have good bones. We have good opportunities. We have a plan right now to do a new club on the east side of the stadium, the 1922 Club, in honor of Ohio Stadium's opening year.

"I think there are other spots in the stadium where we can carve out some new areas. Those are all things. Now, it's money, it's time. Facilities are about time and money. How do we find the revenue to pay for it? How much time do we have to build these things?"
