“I’m just very grateful for the opportunity,” Harper said via a press release. “This past week was great for me, being able to play with the best players and coaches in the country at training camp. I’m very excited that I have the chance to compete and represent the USA again and play in Tokyo.”
A Chicago native, Harper averaged 8.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game for the Buckeyes last season. She was named the 2017 Big Ten Sixth Player of the Year as a result.
Team USA will participate in The Four Nation's Tournament Aug. 12-15 in Japan. They'll first take on Australia on Aug. 12, Canada on Aug. 13 and host Japan on Aug. 15.
