Despite playing for IMG Academy, Ali has roots in Central Ohio as he grew up in Gahanna. The Buckeyes offered the highly-touted wing back on April 17, 2024, and Ali plans to take an official visit to Ohio State on May 6. Ali has only taken one official visit so far (Florida State).
The lone commitment in Ohio State's 2024 recruiting class is top-50 overall prospect Juni Mobley, a four-star combo guard out of Bishop Gorman.
