Well, another week in the B1G, another slate of games.
I checked ESPN's scoreboard to see the entry price (As Low As) for each game. And, as we all know, these values do not reflect the extra taxes or fees of which we're accustom.
Finally, NOTHING BUT CONFERENCE GAMES. The 'garbage games' of the Eastern Illinois' going for single digits are no longer. There are no more single digit prices, when we had as many as 7 in week 1.
And, yeah, it's weird to see Oregon @ UCLA on a B1G scoreboard.
Home | Away | "As Low As" | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Purdue | Nebraska | $27 | |
Indiana | Maryland | $33 | |
Rutgers | Washington | $37 | Friday |
PSU | Illinois | $47 | |
TCUN | Minnesota | $52 | |
USC | Wisconsin | $55 | |
MSU | OSU!!! | $68 | |
UCLA | Oregon | $84 |
- Under $25 -- nothing -- these are conference games. And, as of now, no team is hopelessly out of the B1G race. If you're a family of four, you missed out on the cheap seats.
- $27 - $40
- Purdue sucks - Nebraska had another meltdown against a ranked team last week.
- Yet, if the cheapest ticket is $27, it just shows fans still show up for B1G football.
- Indiana/MD is never a big ticket item, but Indiana is Undefeated.
- It won't last, but let the Hoosiers have fun until they're exposed.
- Washington @ Rutgers -- Fans ain't travelling to this clunker. Still Rutgers is undefeated and Washington is beatable.
- Purdue sucks - Nebraska had another meltdown against a ranked team last week.
- $47 - $55
- Illinois @ PSU -- BATTLE OF THE UNBEATENS
- PSU looks beatable, but still ranked #9 facing a team that just beat Nebraska @ Nebraska
- Minnesota @ TCUN - still riding a high from that upset over USC
- Wisconsin @ USC - USC had a letdown, but it's the first conference game in The Coliseum
- Illinois @ PSU -- BATTLE OF THE UNBEATENS
- $68 and up
- OSU @ MSU -- expect fans to travel in droves.
- I'll be listening for the 'O-H-I-O' going around the stadium.
- Expect every OSU Conf game (home or away) to be a big ticket item... their weakest non-conference slate in recent memory is now of interest only to historians.
- MSU was edged out by BC, otherwise we'd have a battle of unbeatens. Also, OSU is better than BC.
- Oregon @ UCLA -- Yep, a B1G game @ the Rose Bowl and it's not the Rose Bowl.
- UCLA is awful, but Oregon is beatable... and a nice PAC-12 throwback classic.
- OSU @ MSU -- expect fans to travel in droves.
